Swaps I have gotten

These are some cards I have recieved in the past year that I just didn't have time to get posted The first is French Foliage from Carol, I think she did a wonderful job on colors.  The next is Serene Snowflake but I don't remember who sent me that one, I used it for my Christmas cards this year because I just loved the color combo and the rhinestones.  The group of girls I swap with always do such a great and wonderful job and to share ALL of the cards would be soo many because there are twenty of us in the group who do two cards each.  I will just pick a few each time to share and try to get everyone in there somewhere so you can see how talented they all are.

The Artistic Etchinings is from Judy, I like this set alot.  There have been some really cute cards made with them including this one that Judy made.
Georgia sent this one, she used the new embossing folder along with the new Bliss stamp set.  I think this is a simple yet cute card - job well done.

This one was made by Sara, what a great color combo of Gray, White, Pink and Red.  I think her layout was very cute making the hears look like they are falling down.  I really love this stamp set too.

This wonderful Punch Bunch was made by Ann, I love her color combo and to put the google eyes was an awesome touch.  She did a wonderful job w/the punches and placements.

And last is from my upline Joyce, she is a great and wonderful lady.  I just love the meetings at her home because she is so great to be around, she does such a great job inspiring you and is always so upbeat.  Thank you Joyce.

I look forward to the swaps that I get from these girls - thank you all for letting me be a part of your great swapping group.  Job well done ladies.

Swaps

Here are my swaps for the new catalogs coming out "Sale-a-bration" and "Occasions Mini"  I did base my cards off of other ideas I had seen but changed some things on them to make them more of my own.  Some of them I changed the colors and stamp set, some I changed up the design a little.  I could not tell you now which belonged to what as I don't keep the ideas, I see them and then go home and make up my cards.  For my first one I used Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, and Vanilla.  I put my scallops up on dimensionals and added a few pearls.

For the second one I used Cherry Cobbler, Black, and White.  I love this color combo and this stamp set is now becoming one of my favorites the more I see made with it.

For the next, I think this one is truly my favorite of the four.  I am a big U of M fan, so this color combo is become one of my favorites however I still use alot of pinks.  The base is Night of Navy, then embossed is the So Saffron.  I stamped Noteably Ornate, cutting out the bird and punching out the saying.  My scallop, saying and bird are up on dimensionals.  The Build a Blossom was a bit challenging for me at first but I do think my flower turned out pretty cute and to top it off I added a button on a glue dot.

And last I used Whisper white and Mambo Melon.  Pink is truly one of my favorite colors so I use it alot and love that we have so many choices of pinks to choose from.  I used a wave cutter to make the curve on my pink.  Stamped my saying in basic black.  The butterfly is on a glue dot so his wings are up and the flowers on the wave part are on dimensionals.  A basic yet cute card.

Swaps and Cardmaking

I recieved this card from Sara, and used it for the December cardmaking however we changed the saying on it and used a different ribbon on it.  I love the color combo and the pearls give it such a nice accent.
This one is from Chrissie, such a nice gal.  The stamp set used is Eastern Blooms with Chocolate Chip and Melon Mambo papers and inks.  The center of the flower is up on a dimensional.  This was a cute and easy card for the girls too.
Thank you Laura for this great card.  The Artichoke goes great with the Deck the halls DSP and I love the new lace ribbon.  The saying is up on dimensionals and again the pearls really set it off.

This one is from Ruth.  The colors are Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Whisper white.  For ours we used a different saying and ribbon but all else was enjoyed.  The rhinestones are a wonderful touch.  I LOVE the new rhinestones and pearls, I use them on so many cards.

Cardmaking and Swaps

My first card is one I planned on using last year for my Christmas cards and then I never got them finished so we used it for our cardmaking in December.  All of these cards were used however I did not create all of them. I got several of them as swaps from a great group of girls.  The first card has lovely lilac and eggplant cardstock.  I used versamark and embossing powder for the snow flakes.  The little saying is up on dimensionals.

This is a great card I showcased from the holiday mini.  I orginally had to figure out how to make this card for a girl I work with.  She wanted to make them for her Christmas cards, so I decided I would go ahead and use them for my cardmaking girls.  It was a fun and cute card.  My sample ended up with red ink on the left  corner, that is NOT suppose to be part of the card.  I embossed the bashful blue paper, used crumb cake for the tag - the tag is up on dimensonals.  There is certainly celery scalloped at the bottom of the tag w/sticky strip and chunky glitter on it. The saying is in real red, and the snowman was stamped in chocolate chip and then colored in w/markers, then put on dimensionals.  I attached a button and linen thread like the book had.  The stamp set used was Jolly Old Saint Nick.

This card I recieved from Lisa, and loved it because it was so easy to make.  It uses several different punches.  And the stamping was very little.  She used So Saffron, Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, and Cajun Craze cardstock.  The saying is from Thank You Kindly and stamped in soft suede.

Another great card from Lou Ann, she used Soft Suede, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla and Deck the halls DSP.  The stamp set is Paisley Prints stamped in old olive and the saying is from Thank You Kindly in Early Expresso.  She used hemp twine and put some bead on it. The embossing in the back is using the Perfect Details texturz Plates.
Another from Sandy, that I used for my class also.  She used Marina Mist and Crumb Cake.  She stamped the Serene snowflakes using Marina Mist and Crumb Cake.  The saying is stamped in Night of Navy.  She punched out a snowflake, added a pearl and spritzed the whole thing with shimmer paint.

Also a card a I recieved from Laura, and used for class.  The papers are Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, and Autumn Spice DSP.  She used the Bright Blessings wheel for the bottom and the Paisley Prints for the leaves.  Added a jumbo brad and some ribbon to make it just so cute.
And finally the last card for this post, I also recieved from Jayne.  She used Early Expresso, Cajun Craze, Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  The leave is Paisley Print using the baby wipe techinique and then put up on dimensionals.  The smaller squares are rolled using the Paisley Party wheel and versa mark.  All great cards from wonderful ladies.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your awesome swap group.
