Quite a Krafty Rub-on (GCA 40)

I made this card for Ann's challenge this week. It was the color combo of Not Quite Navy, Kraft and either white or neutral. I used the Anchored Rub-ons, Satin ribbon, and Background Basics stamp set, along with the textiles white/polka dot paper. This card actually turned out very cute but I am not sure I care for how the picture turned out. It is casting a shadow under the saying which is up on dimensionals, along with under the ribbon. Be sure to join in on Ann's challenges each week, she always does something different and gives away prizes to her winners.

Beautiful (Mojo Monday 86)

This is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge. I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set, for my flower I did the new re-inker floating watercolor technique. I colored in the small flowers, stems, and birds with stampin' markers. My cardstock is chocolate chip, regal rose, bella rose DSP, and whisper white. The frame was made with the XL Curly label die for the big shot. To make it long I had to punch it twice and I have the frame up on dimensionals. Also on dimesionals are the saying and birds. My ribbon is chocolate chip grograin. I will be posting again in a couple days my card for Ann's challenge so keep an eye out for that and be sure to join in on both challenges.

12 x 12 Purse (GCA39)

I have had this cute little purse made for a couple days now but just have not had the time to get it posted for you all. I made this purse for Ann's challenge this week of following a template. My template was from a purse I had seen on Splitcoast made by T.Sacrison - she created a template after so many people told her house cute the purse was. This cute little purse is made with one sheet of 12x12 paper, two pieces 8 1/2 x 2, and two punched out tabs - decorated anyway you like. On my purse I used the Parisian Breeze DSP, and whisper white paper. I decorated mine with the new satin white ribbon, some jumbo eyelets, and the new courderoy buttons. The hardest part of the purse for me was trying to get the ribbon figured out and there are a couple small flaws on mine that you probably can't see unless pointed out to you but I think it turned out cute for my first one. This purse will hold 16 3x3 cards and envelopes or whatever else you choose to put in it. Be sure to check out both Ann's site and join in the challenges and T.Scrison's template and make your own cute purse.

Tractor Riley (MOJO85)

Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge. My cardstock is handsome hunter, and night of navy. My DSP is Prestwick package. I stamped my Tractor Riley and colored him in with copics, and stampin up markers. My grass looking stuff to the left is actually a tree punch I have so punched a bunch of trees and layed them around the edge so you couldn't see the trunk of the tree. It is hard to tell in the picture but they are punched in handsome hunter. Riley is actually up on dimensionals and I added some ribbon for the bow. Be sure to join in on their fun challenges each week over at Mojo Monday.

BBQ Riley

Hello Everyone,
Remember a few posts back I said that I had the opportunity to stamp and color with my friend Kristi from Hanna Stamps during the Michigan Mingle and that I had another card to share but couldn't until the Riley stamp had been released. Well, they just released this cute little guy, so here is the card that I made with BBQ Riley. My cardstock is chocolate chip, creamy caramel, and boardering blue. I used some ribbon and some stuff from the retired hodge podge hardware for added decoration. Be sure to check out the website for all their cute creations with Riley, Sophie, and Hanna.

Riley and Sophie get married. (MOJO84)

I made this card for the mojo monday sketch from the mojo monday blog - be sure to check it out and join in on the fun. I hate the way my picture turned out, the lighting just wouldn't go right today at all for some reason but you can still see it alright.
I used chocolate chip, rose red and whisper white cardstock along with Bella Rose DSP. My stamp is from Hanna Stamps, Riley and Sophie Wedding Moose. I used pink piourette ink around the edges, stamped them in black memento ink and colored them in with copic markers. Sophie's dress is actually colored in with the copic spica clear glitter pen but you can't really tell that in the picture. I used dimensionals behind them to pop them up over the taffeta white ribbon. I added felt flowers that are brown and pink. I had seen the sketch yesterday and thought about it all night long what I wanted to do, I still had no idea and just started grabbing stuff after I figured out what stamp I wanted to use. I think it turned out cute though.

Matchbox dresser

Here is a project I made Saturday night while working some overtime at work. It is made with the new matchbox die cut for the big shot. I made three of the matchboxes and used a small piece of sticky strip to hold them together on tope of each other, then took a 2 5/8 x 10 inch of paper and wrapped it around the outside (I don't remember right now what my scores are at). The first one in green is made of the bella rose dsp and kiwi kiss cardstock, the brads are from the hodgepodge hardware, and the butterfly is punched out with the martha stewart butterfly punch (I wish stampin up had some butterfly ones). The second one is also made from bella rose dsp and riding hood red cardstock, the saying is from the stamp set matchbox messages. The saying has a small square of paper on the back folded at a diagonal taped to the message and just set on the top of the dresser to look like a picture on top or something. I will add a tutorial for this project soon so keep checking back. I also see for Ann's challenge this week (GCA #38) that it is to use something with a butterfly on it so this project is perfect to use. Be sure to join in on Ann's challenges each week too.

Friends

I seen this sketch somewhere online so wanted to make a card with it and I actually made two - one I can't show you until later on because the stamp has not been released yet. The stamp I used on this one is a stamp I got at Michael's, so I am not sure what company makes it. I like the saying "Friends are those people who know the words to the song in your heart and sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." I added the flowers from the stampin' pretties kit, and taffeta ribbon to spice it up a little bit. My cardstock is chocolate chip, rose red, and regal rose. Now my second one I made is with the same sketch layout but different colors, ribbons, accessories and stamps. As soon as Hanna stamps releases the Riley stamp I used then I will share that card with you. My friend Kristi who owns Hanna stamps and I stamped together a few weeks ago at the Michigan Mingle. She had a couple of stamps there that have not been released yet, and she is such a wonderful gal that she let me stamp a couple images for myself. So keep your eyes out for that card later on.

Bikini Sophie

I thought this would be a cute card for a graduation for Ann's challenges this week of out of the box. I liked it because graduation time is the beginning of summer and kids need to believe in their dreams. I used real red, and whisper white cardstock, brilliant blue DSP along with brilliant blue and black staz-on inks. Sophie is colored in using copics markers and spica glitter on her flower, she is actually on some dimensionals. I also used real red grograin ribbon and a flower from the pretties kit. The background is stamped with itty bitty backgrounds. Be sure to check out and join in on Ann's challenges each week.

Great friend, Choo choo

I was asked to participate in a swap for the new mini catalogs that come out - there are a group of 16 girls (including myself) who all make 2 cards/cardfronts and mail them to each other each time a new book or mini comes out. Here are the two cards I created for my first time in this swap.
On the first one I used basic black, whisper white, and real red paper, and inks - black gingham ribbon, rhinestone brads and the stamp set Baroque Motif along with the stamp set Great Friend. My black butterfly is made with the die cut and big shot, the red butterfly was stamped and cut out, both are head together with the rhinestone brad and a glue dot - the wings are folded up a little bit to give it more dimension.

My second card used chocolate chip, baja blue, creamy caramel, and whisper white papers, along with Parisian breeze DSP. I stamped the train with chocolate chip, baja blue, and creamy caramel inks, and my ribbons are chocolate taffeta, and tan gingham. The stamp set is Choo, choo. Both sets are extremely cute sets and I can't wait to use them some more.

Hockey Riley

As most of you are aware, I am a stampin' up demonstrator and that is mostly what I have on my blog - however, I have recently decided that it is ok to use some of those other cute stamps that I have even though I am a demonstrator. Here is one of those cute stamps that I don't have yet - it is Hocky Riley from Hanna Stamps. I told you about my friend Kristi who owns Hanna Stamps, and how I met her at the Michigan mingle - this is one of the images that I stamped and colored while chatting with her and her friend Judy (also a great gal). I used brilliant blue cardstock for my base, night of navy for the strip in back, and the larger circle (which I cut with my new circle scissors). I used bashful blue for the square w/brillant blue dsp on it. I also used bashful blue for the scallop circle (cut out with scallop circle die cut and big shot), and the little circle for the saying. I also used whisper white for the smaller circle that Riley is on, and the saying from mini catalog set Great Friend. I used a black button for the hockey puck and to finish it off I used navy grosgrain ribbon and blue gingham ribbon. Be sure to check out not only my stampin up stuff but also my friend Kristi's stuff over at Hanna Stamps - she has some awesome stuff too. It's ok to be verstile as I recently discovered.
